The terms and conditions that govern your use of our services.
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before booking or using any service offered by The Wig Repair Shop ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. By booking a service or submitting a wig, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
We provide professional wig repair, restoration, customization, styling, construction, and lace replacement services. All services are performed on human, virgin, and raw hair wigs only. We do not accept synthetic wigs. Services are listed with descriptions and starting prices on our website; the final price is confirmed at checkout for fixed-price services or after assessment for quote-only services.
2. Booking and Payment
Services are booked and paid for online via our booking page. Payment is collected in full at checkout in Canadian dollars (CAD) through our payment processor, Stripe. Your booking is confirmed once payment is successfully processed and you receive an order confirmation by email.
Add-on options (e.g., express turnaround, frontal customization upgrades, hairline customization, or wash-and-style) are priced separately and billed as individual line items at checkout. Fulfillment fees (courier service to and from the client or Canada-wide shipping) are also collected at checkout.
3. Turnaround Times
Estimated turnaround times are displayed on each service listing. These are business-day estimates from the date we receive your wig and are not guaranteed. Multiple submissions, high volume, or complex repairs may extend timelines. We will communicate any significant delays.
4. Drop-Off and Shipping
- Drop-off clients: Calgary drop-off instructions are shared by email after booking. Please package your wig securely with a note inside that includes your full name and order number.
- Courier clients: Courier to and from the client is selected as a package at checkout. We will confirm the next steps after your booking is received.
- Canada-wide courier: You are responsible for packaging your wig securely. Courier details are confirmed after checkout. We are not responsible for loss or damage during transit.
5. Client Responsibilities
To ensure we can perform the requested service:
- Wigs submitted for repair or styling must be reasonably clean and free of excessive product build-up.
- You must accurately describe your wig's condition during booking. If the wig's actual condition differs materially from what was described, we may revise the quote or decline the service.
- For construction and reconstruction services, you are responsible for supplying your own bundles and closure/frontal. We do not supply hair.
- For lace replacement services, you are responsible for supplying the replacement lace.
6. Assessment and Additional Work
For quote-only services (custom coloring, severe damage assessment), we will assess your wig and provide a quote before beginning work. No charges beyond the consultation fee (if applicable) will be applied without your approval.
For fixed-price services, if we discover unexpected damage or requirements during the service, we will contact you for approval before proceeding with any additional work or cost.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
Due to the hands-on nature of wig care, we do not offer refunds once work has commenced. If you wish to cancel before we have begun work, please contact us within 24 hours of booking at info@thewigrepairshop.ca and we will process a full refund. Fulfillment fees (courier service to and from the client or return shipping) are non-refundable once the courier service has been dispatched.
We guarantee our craftsmanship. If you are unsatisfied with the result, please contact us within 5 business days of receiving your wig so we can assess and address your concern.
8. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by improper storage or handling after the wig has been returned to you.
In the unlikely event of loss or damage caused by us during the service, our liability is limited to the fair market value of the wig at the time it was submitted, not to exceed the original purchase price.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including text, images, graphics, and design — is owned by or licensed to The Wig Repair Shop. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after updates are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
